Come and join the Northampton Philharmonic Choir for an evening of summer music in a wide-ranging celebration of John Rutter following his 80th birthday in September last year.
The concert is directed by Thomas Moore, and we are joined by Jonathan Kingston on piano and organ and Christina Alishaw on flute.
The programme includes a performance of The Sprig of Thyme, which is a collection of eleven traditional folk songs from the British Isles arranged by Rutter, along with a selection
of his anthems. Other works by Rutter that are featured are Toccato in Seven and Elegy, both for organ, and Suite Antiquefor flute and piano.
